On my very first winter visit of the nature park near the Sainte-Catherine locks just south of Montreal on the banks of the Saint-Lawrence River, I was fortunate enough to have several dozen mallard ducks seemingly enjoying the warming rays of the early afternoon sun. This image caught my eye as the male and female were so neatly juxtaposed.
